Timing Belt: Service and Repair

1.

Remove drive belt.

2.

Lock crankshaft using crankshaft pulley wrench tool No. 499977000 or equivalent, then remove pulley retaining bolt and pulley.

Timing Cover Installation

Remove lefthand, right-hand and front outer belt covers.

Timing Mark Alignment

4.

Ensure timing belt rotation arrows and alignment marks are visible prior to belt removal. If original marks are faded, new alignment marks can be
made as follows:
