Rear Differential Front Oil Seal
REPLACEMENT
1) Set the vehicle on a lift.
2) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
3) Move the select lever or gear shift lever to "N".
4) Release the parking brake.
5) Remove the oil drain plug, and drain the gear oil.
6) Install the oil drain plug.
NOTE:
Apply liquid gasket to the drain plug.
Liquid gasket:
THREE BOND 1105 (Part No. 004403010) or equivalent.
Tightening torque:
49 Nm (5.0 kgf-m, 36.2 ft. lbs.)
7) Lift-up the vehicle.
8) Remove the rear exhaust pipe and muffler.
9) Remove the propeller shaft from body.
10) Remove the self-locking nut while holding the companion flange with ST.

11) Remove the center heat shield cover.
