When running this test, do not exceed 30 seconds or damage to the starter motor will result.
With starter clamped on test bench, connect starter as shown in Fig. 5. Measure and record current, voltage and rotation speed. On vehicles equipped
with manual transmission voltage should be 11.5. Current draw should be 45 amps or less. Rotation speed should be 5,500 rpm or greater. On vehicles
equipped with ECVT transmission voltage should be 11.5. Current draw should be 60 amps or less. Rotation speed should be 6,600 rpm or greater. If the
starter motor does not meet specifications, repair or replace starter motor as necessary.
