ABS PLASTIC GRILLE PAINTING PROCEDURE

The following is a simplified outline of our refinish procedure for use over your ABS grille:
1.
Solvent clean grille with R7 K 213 (KRIL-KLEEN)
2.
Scuff sand area to be painted with #400 grit or finer sandpaper
3.
Topcoat with one of the following systems:
A.
Solid colors
1.
Acrylic Lacquer + V6 V 299 MULTI-FLEX or
2.
ACRYLYD Acrylic Enamel + V6 V 247 + V6 v 299
B.
Basecoat/Clearcoat Colors
1.
Acrylic Lacquer basecoat + V6 V 299 followed by Catalyzed TI C 276 Clearcoat + V6 V 299 or
2.
Acrylic Lacquer basecoat + V6 V 299 followed by T1 C 275 Clearcoat + V6 v 299.
NOTE:
If surfacing is required, use P2 A 43 + V6 V 299. Overall surfacing is not recommended.
