1988 DL 4DR SEDAN, STATION WAGON AND 3DR COUPE MODELS

PORT INSTALLATION OF THE S0A 333D116 COMBINATION CASSETTE AND AM/FM RADIO

After installing the Combo-Cassette and AM/FM Radio Unit in 4DR Sedan, 3DR Coupe and station Wagon "DL" Models, proper unit operation can be
verified by removing the passenger kick panel to expose the memory connectors for the clock. See figure 1.
To verify:

1.

Plug in the memory connectors.

2.

Turn the ignition switch to the "accessory" position.

3.

Put the antenna mast in the fully extended position.

4.

Using the operation/features instructions provided with the unit, check the following radio and cassette functions with the radio power switch in
the "on" position.

Clock Display

NOTE:

If you turn the ignition switch to the "off" position, the clock time should still be displayed but the back lighting should not be
illuminated. If not, check the memory wire connectors according to the installation instructions.

Using the mode pad on the radio, check the operation of the band (AM/FM) loudness (LD) and clock (CLK) mode. Using the left side knobs,
test the volume and tone. To test the Balance control, push in and turn the knob to the right for the right channel and vice-versa.

Push in on the right side knob to initiate the "seek" Tuning function. To test the "seek" operation, turn the right side knob to the right or the
left (increasing or decreasing station numbers) and the display will stop at the next available or strongest received station.

NOTE:

This is not a "Search" function. The tuner will seek one station per knob adjustment in the "Seek" mode.

Test the station memory by pressing down on one of the six buttons for more than two seconds. The station should "set". To verify, manually
select another station then press the same button to erase the previous station in memory and add the new station selected into memory.

Test cassette operation according to the Operation/Features instructions provided with the unit.

After testing is complete, disconnect the green Harness Memory connectors to prevent battery drain down during storage or transportation.
The connectors should be reconnected during "PDI" and the Combo-Unit can be reprogrammed at that time.
