Thermal Vacuum Valve: Testing and Inspection
1.
Connect hoses to output ports to air cleaner and EGR valve and plug output port to canister.
2.
Submerge valve in water and heat gradually. Do not allow water to get into valve.
3.
If valve is not completely open below 86°F and completely closed above 104°F, replace valve.
4.
Connect hoses to output ports to EGR valve and canister and plug output port to air cleaner. If valve is not completely open below 86°F and
completely closed above 104°F, replace valve.
