Subaru L-Series workshop manuals
Subaru L-Series at a glance: 17 manuals, covering 1985 to 1988 models, all with a 1.8-litre engine.
About the L-Series
"L-Series" is a common name for the Subaru Leone, Subaru's compact car of 1971 to 1994, which in North America was sold under trim names such as DL, GL and GL-10 rather than as the Leone. Every Leone had a Subaru EA boxer engine, and most offered four-wheel drive. The Leone was Subaru's top model until the Legacy arrived in 1989.
What these manuals cover
- 1985–1988: the 1.8-litre SOHC flat-four (EA82) with a carburettor, single-point or multi-point injection, and the turbo, in three-door, four-door and wagon form with front- or four-wheel drive.
Tip: the fuel system in the title (Carb, SPFI or MPFI) is the main difference between these engines. The same 1.8 is in the XT coupe and the later Loyale.
