Again, measure each seat position sensor output data using the SSM (Subaru Select Monitor) and record the values; refer to the Subaru Service
Manual, Section 8, Occupant Detection System (Diagnostics) OD (diag). Subtract the output value after replacing the spring from the output value
before replacing the spring. If the difference is not in the acceptable range as shown in the chart, perform the system calibration.

Note: 

When measuring make sure the following criteria is met:

Ambient temperature is between 32° F to 104° F.

^

Vehicle is parked on level surface.

^

Seat slide position is all the way back and slide rail is securely locked.

^

Seat backrest is fully upright and reclining position is securely locked.

Check for proper operation on the front passenger seat belt warning chime.
