Upper Door Trim Panel - Loose

SUBJECT:

LOOSE UPPER DOOR TRIM PANEL

If you receive a customer complaint of a loose upper door trim panel, follow the repair procedures below:

Front Door Trim Panel Repair

1.

Remove the inner door latch bezel.

2.

Remove the two caps on the armrest and remove the two self tapping screws.

3.

Remove the three screws at the speaker grill area.

4.

Carefully remove the door trim from the inner door and disconnect the power window harness.

5.

Remove cushion no. 2 from the back side of the door trim and discard. (See Figure 1.)

Install (1) sheet metal clip, P/N 94099AA310, 2.16 in. (55 mm) from the rear edge of the window weather strip. Quick drying glue should be
used to help secure the sheet metal clip in position. (See Figure 2.)
