Legacy Sedan 2WD F4-2.2L SOHC (1990)
2) Depress brake pedal under condition that bleeder is opened.
3) Intermittently apply AV signal* to magnet valve.
Do not apply AV-signal for more than 5 seconds.
4) Return brake pedal after it moves to its stroke end.
If AV-signal is not given, it is not necessary to close bleeder.
5) Repeat steps 4) and 5) until air bubbles disappear.
After carrying Out step 6), conduct normal air-bleeding operation.
6) After ensuring air bubbles have disappeared, replace bleeder with cone screw. Air is now completely bled from one system of the secondary
circuit.
Tightening torque (Cone screw):
7 - 9 N-m (0.7 - 0.9 kg-m, 5.1 - 6.5 ft-lb)
7) Similarly, bleed air from the other system of secondary circuit.

How to produce AV signal
(1) Disconnect terminals from battery.
(2) Disconnect hydraulic connectors (2P and 12P).
(3) Connect 12P hydraulic unit connector's terminals 11 and 12 to battery ground terminal.
(4) Connect the 12P-connector's terminals 1 and 2 to battery positive terminal, being careful not to short these terminals.
(5) AV signal now is emitted.
