LEGACY TURN SIGNAL FLASHER
The Legacy turn signal flasher unit on the Legacy vehicle has purposely been made quieter than previous models in keeping with the efforts to reduce
interior noise.
However, a concern has been raised from people with hearing impairments or other particular needs asking if the flasher can be made louder.
As a service to your customers with this particular request, the noise insulator can be removed from the flasher. This will raise the noise level by
approximately 7 decibels.
The flasher is easily accessible after removing the glove box.
Three screws secure the flasher bracket to the radio support. Remove these screws to gain access to the flasher mount screw. After removing the flasher
from the bracket, remove the boot and reinstall all removed parts.
Although this is not a matter for warranty, performing this procedure for those customers who request it will demonstrate your interest in satisfying them.
