1. Check relay coil on ABS control unit by turning ignition off, disconnect and disassemble ABS control unit connector.
2. Measure resistance between terminals 17 and 28 of connector P12 on except SVX models or connector R7 on SVX models, resistance should 45
to 55 Ohms.
3. Check motor relay contacts on hydraulic unit by measuring resistance between connector F8 terminal 2 and connector F9 terminal 4 on except
SVX models. On SVX models measure resistance between connector F43 terminal 2 and connector R1 terminal four. Resistance should be one M
Ohms minimum.
4. Check motor relay by attaching test probes to terminals 30 and 87, Fig. 32.
5. Check relay coil on hydraulic unit by measuring resistance between terminal five and six. Resistance should be between 45 and 55 Ohms.
6. Disconnect connector from ABS and hydraulic units. On except SVX models, measure resistance between connector F9 terminal 6 and P12
terminal 28, and connector F9 terminal 5 and P12 terminal 17. On SVX models, measure resistance between connector R1 terminal 5 and R7
terminal 28, and connector R1 terminal 6 and R7 terminal 17. Resistance should be 0 Ohms.
7. Measure resistance between connector F9 terminal six to ground, then connector F9 terminal four to ground on except SVX models. On SVX
models, measure resistance between connector R1 terminal five to ground, then connector R1 terminal seven to ground. Resistance should be one
M Ohm minimum.
8. If resistance is within specifications, replace hydraulic unit. If not within specifications repair connector between hydraulic unit and ABS control
unit.
9. Check motor power harness by turning ignition On and measure voltage between hydraulic unit connector F8 terminal 2 and ground on except
SVX models. On SVX models check voltage at connector F43 terminal 2 and ground. Voltage should be 10 to 12 volts.
