Electronic Brake Control Module: Testing and Inspection
Signal Emitted From Sensor ABS Control Unit
1. Disconnect connector, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Measure voltage between ABS control unit terminals according to trouble codes. For Trouble Code 5 measure between terminals 4 and 22,
Trouble Code 6 between terminals 11 and 21. Voltage specifications should be between 200 and 300 mV at a creep with automatic transmission.
3. Disconnect ABS control unit connector P12 on except SVX models or connector R7 on SVX models, measure resistance between sensor and
ground on terminals 21 and 22. Resistance should be one M Ohm minimum.
4. To check sensor resistance measure between terminals one and two for Trouble Code 5 and 6. Resistance should be 0.8 - 1.3 k Ohms.
5. Measure resistance between connector B13 terminal 1, and connector B22 terminal 1 and ground. Resistance should be one M Ohm minimum.
