Air Bag: Service and Repair

    The airbag module must not be disassembled.

1.

Set front wheels in straight ahead position, then disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Turn ignition switch Off, then wait for at least 10 minutes before starting work.

3.

Remove covers from both sides of steering wheel, then using T30 TORX bit, remove 4 TORX bolts.

4.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure ignition switch is in Off position.
b. Do not allow harness and connectors to interfere with other parts.
c. Replace new TORX bolts with new ones.
