Front Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair
Front Outer Handle
REMOVAL
1. Raise the front door glass to the top position.
2. Remove the door trim.
3. Remove the cable from the front inner remote.
4. Remove the sealing cover.
5. Remove the rod clamps (1).
6. Remove bolts (2), then remove the front outer handle.
CAUTION: Do not apply excessive force to remove the handle from the door panel. The door panel may become deformed.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
Tightening torque: N.m (kgf.m, ft.lb)
T1: 6.5 (0.66, 4.8)
T2: 7.5 (0.76, 5.5)
T3: 18 (1.8, 13.3)
NOTE: Make sure that the outer handle works correctly after installation.
