Shifter M/T: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTION
1. Check each part (bushing, cushion rubber, spacer, boot, stay and rod, etc.) for deformation, damage and wear. Repair or replace any defective part.
Determine defective parts by comparing with new Darts.
2. Check rod swing torque in relation to the gear shift lever.
If torque exceeds the specification, replace bushing or retighten nuts.
Locking torque: 0.7 Nm (0.07 kgf-cm, 0.5 ft. lbs.) or less
