Replacement
Engine Speed Sensing Type
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery earth (-) terminal.
2. Raise vehicle with a jack and remove front wheels.
3. Remove front under cover.
4. Disconnect O2 sensor harness from clip.
5. Remove collector cover and rear catalytic converter protector.
6. Disconnect front exhaust pipe. Refer to Exhaust System.
7. Using a puller, remove tie-rod end from knuckle arm after pulling off cotter pin and removing castle nut.
8. Remove spring pin which secures transmission spindle to Free ring Tripod Joint (FTJ). Discard old spring pin. Replace with a new one.
9. Remove FTJ from transmission spindle and free from transmission.
