Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair
Removal/Installation

1.

Disconnect brake fluid level indicator connector, if equipped.

2.

Remove master cylinder assembly.

3.

Disconnect vacuum hose from brake booster.

4.

Working from inside the passenger compartment, remove snap pin and operating rod clevis pin from brake pedal assembly.

5.

Remove brake booster retaining nuts, then brake booster from vehicle.

6.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque brake booster retaining nuts to 9-17 ft. lbs.
