Liquid Vapor Separator: Service and Repair
Fuel Separator Replacement
REMOVAL
1.
Remove right trim panel from luggage compartment.
2.
Remove hose protector.
3.
Remove fuel separator and bracket as a unit.
4.
Disconnect evaporation hose from pipe connected to bracket.
5.
Remove fuel separator from bracket.
6.
Disconnect hose from separator.
INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedures and observe the following:
1.
Install hose between fuel separator and pipe until it stops against nipple on separator side and push other end up to marked position on pipe side.
2.
Install fuel separator on bracket so that pipe can run through relieved section of separator.
3.
Install evaporation tube 15 to 20 mm (0.59 to 0.79 in) onto pipe on bracket. Install clamps so they do not touch any other hoses.
