CONDITION:
Automatic transmission will not shift properly after Transmission Control Module (TCM) or assembly replacement.
CAUSE:
Tech 2 "AT learned initialize" procedure was not performed after A/T assembly replacement or TCM replacement. The transmission module
automatically compensates or "learns" and maps transmission wear condition and engine torque output, to provide the best possible shift under any
condition. If not reset, the module will shift with the previous shift mapping that may not work properly with the new component.
