Apply assembly lubricant to the input shaft bearing surface and bearing. Then place the bearing onto the input shaft for assembly.

Make sure that the bearing is seated and positioned as shown. Refer to the service manual to confirm the correct orientation of both bearings.

Insert the sun gear onto the input shaft.
