SDM

Check for external damage such as deformation, scratch, crack, peeled paint, etc.

Check that SDM (1) cannot be installed properly due to a cause in itself. (There is a gap between SDM (1) and its mounting part, or it cannot
be fixed securely.)

Check that SDM connector (2) or lead wire of SDM (1) has a scorching, melting or damage.

Check that SDM connector (2) is connected securely or locked.

Check SDM connector (2) and terminals for tightness.

Check SDM (1) sets a DTC and the diagnostic flow leads to a malfunctioning SDM (1).
If any faulty condition is found in above checks, replace.

Air bag wire harness (1) and connections

Check for damages, deformities or poor connections. (Refer to "Inspection of Intermittent and Poor Connections".) See: Air Bag

Check wire harness clamps for tightness.
If any faulty condition is found, correct or replace.

Seat belts and mounting points
