CONDITION:
On affected vehicles the automatic transmission shift selector lever parking lock function may be inoperative due to a sticking shift lock solenoid
plunger. As a result the shift lever will be able to be shifted out of "Park" with the key removed and without depressing the brake pedal.
CAUSE:
Pivot bushing may bind at solenoid plunger
CORRECTION:
Replace the shift lock solenoid assembly on any new, as well as in-stock used and customer vehicles regardless of vehicle age or mileage within the
affected VIN range. See instructions below.

The improved part is distinguished by color of the bushing.
NOTE:
Remove spacer after installation.
