After the air bag (inflator) module has been deployed, the surface of the air bag may contain a powdery residue. This powder consists primarily of
cornstarch (used to lubricate the bag as it inflates) and by-products of the chemical reaction. As with many service procedures, you should wear
gloves and safety glasses.

Remove the activation gas from its tube (1) for disposing of activated seat belt pretensioner as follows.

The gas may issue out of the hole together with chips generated by the drill (2). Therefore, be sure to wear goggle when drilling.

Using a 3.0 mm (0.1 in.) drill (2), make hole on tube (1) of seat belt pretensioner to remove inner gas as shown before disposing.
