Modification Kit For Removable Hardtop (# 99980-69410)
In the near future, your Parts Department will received modification kits for removeable hardtops. For packaging reasons, these kits consist of two basic
part #'s/packages as follows:
Part # 99980-69410-MK2 - Glass rear window
Part # 99980-69410-MK1 -
1 Clip Assembly - Body
1 Clip Extrusion
1 Wire - Ground
1 Wire - Positive
1 Wire - Negative
1 Gasket - Extrusion
1 Switch - Defogger
1 Connector - electrical
Installation Instructions
These kits are provided to upgrade all existing/sold hardtops (part # 99980-69410) to make them a more effective and enjoyable accessory. Installation
of these kits is at no charge to owners.
General Claim & Other Procedures
GENERAL PROCEDURES
In the near future, the two basic modification kits will automatically be shipped and billed to you in separate shipments - freight prepaid. After you verify
that you have received all of the components, contact all owners of removable hardtops sold by you and also those who have become your service
customers and arrange to install the modification kits (#99980-69410-MK1 & #99980-69410-MK2) at no charge to the owners. Removable hardtops in
your vehicle and parts inventory must also be upgraded.
CLAIM PROCEDURES
For reimbursement, you must complete and submit a warranty claim the same as for:
1.
"Claims With Parts and Labor" (SEE Service Procedures Manual Section 04 Part 03) as applicable OR
2.
"Spare Parts/Accessory Claims "Off The Shelf" (SEE Service Procedures Manual Section 04 Part 07) as applicable. Labor Operation SA003 (1.5
hours):
If the entire repair is performed by the Service Department
Labor Operation SA004 (1.0 hours) + sublet:
If the glass replacement into the extrusion was performed sublet by a glass shop. Sublet labor hours should not exceed 0.5 hours. Sublets exceeding 0.5
hours require a DSM claim authorization.
Labor Operation SA005 (0.7 hours) + sublet:
If your Service Department completes the electrical work only. In this case, the sublet time should not exceed 0.8 hours. Sublets exceeding 0.8 hours
require a D21 claim authorization. Labor Operation SA006 (0.3 hours Dealer or sublet) If the upgrade is performed before or during installation of
existing dealer stock.
