The Parts Department offers three different thermostats:
82~C Thermostat
P/N 17600-83821
88~C Thermostat
P/N 17600-83831
92~C Thermostat
P/N 17600-83841
The temperature rating is stamped on each thermostat. The rating refers to the temperature at which the thermostat begins to open. The 82~C thermostat
is standard for vehicles sold in the U.S. and the 88~C thermostat is standard for vehicles sold in cold weather markets.
If a customer complains that the vehicle takes too long to warm up, a higher temperature rated thermostat may be installed. This will also raise the
normal operating temperature of the engine. The higher temperature rated thermostats are not recommended for areas where tropical or desert conditions
are encountered.
