Ignitor: Testing and Inspection
Ignitor Location

Remove power unit from ignition coil bracket.

Connect 2 new 1.5V in series (total voltage must be 3 VDC).
Inspecting Ignitor Operation

Connect positive lead of analog ohmmeter to "G" terminal of power unit.

Connect negative lead of analog ohmmeter to "OC" terminal of power unit.

Connect positive side side of battery source to "IB" terminal of power unit.
-
Confirm that continuity exists between "G" and "OC" terminals when the negative circuit is supplied to "G" terminal of power unit.
-
Coinfirm that continuity does not exist when power is removed.
-
Replace power unit if it fails test.
