Throttle Body: Service and Repair
Removal
1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Drain cooling system.
3) Disconnect accelerator cable and or A/T throttle cable from throttle body.
4) Remove air cleaner outlet hose and air cleaner upper case by removing clamps and IAT sensor wire harness.
5) Disconnect couplers of TP sensor and MAF sensor.
6) Disconnect water hoses and breather hose from throttle body.
7) Remove throttle body from intake manifold.
Cleaning
Clean passages by blowing compressed air.
NOTE:

MAF sensor, TP sensor, or other components containing rubber must not be placed in a solvent or cleaner both. A chemical reaction will cause
these parts to swell, harden or get distorted.
