Sidekick 4 Door 4WD L4-1.8L DOHC MFI 16V (1996)
Shift Cable: Service and Repair
1. Remove console box. Push in center pin first, then remove rear clips.
2. Remove four bolts and raise manual selector assembly.
3. Remove cable clip, washer and outer cable E-ring, then disconnect cable from selector.
4. Raise and support vehicle.
5. Remove locknut from cable end at transmission.
6. Pull down manual select lever and disconnect cable and lever.
7. Remove cable and E-ring.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
