1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Slowly discharge refrigerant from system. Care should be taken to avoid excess compressor oil discharge with refrigerant.
3.
Remove all electrical connectors and fresh air control cable from blower motor.
4.
Remove glove box, blower motor and heater to evaporator connecting band.
5.
On Swift models, disconnect A/C amplifier connector.
6.
On all models, disconnect thermistor wire connector.
7.
Disconnect compressor suction hose and receiver/dryer outlet hose from cooling unit fittings. Cap all opened fittings to prevent moisture from
entering A/C system.
8.
Remove evaporator case attaching bracket, then the evaporator unit.
9.
Remove case clamps, then separate evaporator case halves, Fig. 9.
10.
Remove evaporator core attaching screws, then evaporator core.
11.
Reverse procedure to install. Evacuate and charge A/C system.
