Servicing / Shift Lock Solenoid (In Selector)

When installing or adjusting the new shift lock solenoid assembly, select lever, or brake interlock cable, please follow the instructions as listed in this
bulletin.

After installing the new shift lock solenoid assembly, be sure to remove the lock pin.

REMOVAL

1.

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2.

Remove the center console.

3.

Place the shift selector lever in the "N" position.

4.

Remove the illumination lamp socket from the select indicator.

5.

Remove the select indicator from the selector housing and move it out of the way.

6.

Disconnect the connector for the illumination lamp and shift lock solenoid.

7.

Disconnect the interlock cable end from the key interlock cam of the selector.
