Leak Detector: Service and Repair

EVAP DIAGNOSTIC VALVE

Removal

1) Disconnect negative cable from battery.

2) Disconnect connector from EVAP diagnostic valve.
3) Remove EVAP diagnostic valve from throttle body. Be careful not to drop plunger in valve.

Installation

1) Install new gasket to EVAP diag. valve.
2) Install EVAP diag. valve to throttle body.

Tightening Torque

(a): 22 N.m (2.2 kg-m, 16.0 lb-ft) 

3) Connect connector to EVAP diag. valve securely.
4) Connect negative cable to battery.
