Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair
KICK-DOWN CABLE
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Remove plastic joint at the end of cable of throttle valve body link pushing it toward A.
2. Loosen nut at bracket and disconnect cable.
3. Clean right side of transmission where cable is connected and remove retaining plate (cable bracket) by removing its bolt.
4. Pull out cable applying screwdriver at flange A and disconnect its inner cable end connected to valve. Then connect a new cable as original one
was connected. Apply grease to "A".
"A": Grease 99000-25010
5. Install cable bracket and bolt.
Tightening Torque
(a): 10 Nm (1.0 kg-m, 8.0 ft. lbs.)
6. Fit cable end joint to throttle link and adjust cable.
