Cut lock tabs off plastic rod with a razor knife (see Figure 1). Make sure cut is square and there is a little of the tab still on the rod (see Figure 2).
2.
Reinstall rod through the lever and use 3/32 (.094") wide mini strap (see Figure 3).
3.
Cut the excess off flush with the tie strap lock collar.
NOTE:
Mini tie straps are available through your local elctronic or automotive parts house.
