Suzuki has developed a new special tool to help with removing and installing cam belts on Dual Over Head Cam Swifts. The Cam Gear Holder bolts to
the head and holds the cam gears in position so the belt can be installed easily (see illustration to the right). It is also useful when loosening or torquing
the cam gear bolts.

CAUTION:

1. Do not rotate the camshafts independently.

2. If the camshafts have been removed, they must be placed in the head so that the cam gear locating pins are in the 6-0'clock position BEFORE
tightening down the caps.

Failure to observe these cautions can result in bent valves. Review section 6A of the Service Manual for details.

All dealers active April, 1991 will be shipped one (1) Cam Gear Holder automatically: their Open Parts Account will be debited its cost. This tool will
be added to the Mandatory Tool Kit and will also be available through the Parts Department.
