Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Refer to Fig. 80, when performing this procedure.
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain cooling system.
2.
Disconnect accelerator cable from throttle valve lever and cable bracket.
3.
Remove AFM outlet hose, then disconnect TPS coupler.
4.
Disconnect vacuum and engine cooling water hoses from throttle body.
5.
Remove throttle body attaching bolts, then throttle body from intake manifold.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, torquing throttle body bolts to 13--20 ft. lbs.
