Swift GA L4-1298cc 1.3L SOHC MFI (2001)
2. Tighten wheel cylinder to brake back plate to specified torque.
Tightening Torque (a): 9 Nm (0.9 kg-m, 6.5 ft. lbs.)
3. Torque flare nut of brake pipe to specification.
Tightening Torque (b): 16 Nm (1.6 kg-m, 11.5 ft. lbs.)
4. Install bleeder plug cap taken off from pipe back to bleeder plug.
5. Install brake shoes, referring to steps 1) and 2) of its INSTALLATION. See: Drum Brake System/Brake Shoe/Service and Repair
6. For vehicles not equipped with wheel hub:
Install brake drum, referring to steps 1) to 5) of its INSTALLATION.
For vehicles equipped with wheel hub:
Install brake drum, referring to steps 1) to 4) of its INSTALLATION.
7. Fill reservoir with brake fluid and bleed brake system.
8. Upon completion of all jobs, depress brake pedal with about 30 kg (66 lbs.) load three to five times so as to obtain proper drum-to-shoe clearance.
Adjust parking brake cable.
9. Install parking brake lever cover.
10. Install wheel and tighten wheel nuts to specified torque.
11. Check to ensure that brake drum is free from dragging and proper braking is obtained. Then remove vehicle from hoist and perform brake test
(foot brake and parking brake).
12. Check each installed part for oil leakage.
