Steering Gear: Testing and Inspection
STEERING PINION ROTATION TORQUE
With tie rod removed from rack, check pinion for rotation torque.
Also, check if rack as a whole moves smoothly.
Special Tool
(A): 09944-18220
Pinion Rotation Torque (a): 1.3 Nm (0.13 kg-m, 1.0 ft. lbs.)
If any malfunction is found, replace steering gear case (rack & pinion) assembly with new one.
