Recall 00V286000: Child Restraint Written Instructions
These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS No. 225.S12, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems." The owner's manuals accompanying
these vehicles do not have certain written instructions as required by the standard.
In the event of a crash, the child seat may not be properly attached increasing the risk of injury to the child.
Owners will be sent a new owner's manual that contains the information as required by FMVSS No. 225.
Owner notification is expected to begin during early November 2000. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service
date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Suzuki at 1-800-934-0934. Also contact the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration's Auto Safety Hotline at 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).
