Evaporative Canister Filter: Service and Repair
EVAP Canister Air Suction Filter Removal and Installation (EVAP Leak Check Model)
Removal
1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2. Hoist vehicle.
3. Disconnect hoses (2) from air suction filter (1).
For quick joint, disconnect it as follows:
a. Remove mud or dust around joint by blowing compressed air, and push joint fully in arrow direction.
b. Disconnect hose joint while joint lock is unlocked by pushing both sides of joint lock.
4. Remove air suction filter from vehicle body.
Installation

Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the following.

When installing hoses, do not apply soap, grease or oil to insertion part.

For quick joint, push joint into pipe till joint lock clicks and check that quick joint does not pull out without unlocking joint lock.
