BATTERY JUMPING PROCEDURE NOTICE

CONDITION:
Using a power supply, charger, or jumper battery with an output voltage higher than the normal output voltage of a 12-volt battery will damage the
sensitive electronics found throughout the vehicle.
CAUSE:
Any voltage higher than the normal output voltage of a 12-volt battery will damage sensitive electronics that cannot otherwise shut down automatically in
case of an overvoltage.
CORRECTION:
Never use any battery, power supply or charger set to output higher than the normal output voltage of a 12-volt battery to jump start the vehicle! Some
possible symptoms of an over voltage can be; Instrument cluster is no longer showing driver information. If overvoltage is suspected, check all systems
for DTCs, it is likely at least one module will have DTC B1325 07 (Device Power1 Circuit Voltage Above Threshold).
NOTICE
Jump starting any Suzuki vehicle with a 12 volt electrical system using any equipment with a voltage higher than a normal 12 volt battery system will
damage electronic components in the vehicle being jumped.

Only use the jump start connection locations recommended in this publication to jump start the Suzuki XL7 vehicle. "Recommended XL7 Jumping
Connections" below identifies the only locations to be used for jump starting the 2007 and later XL7.
