8. ASSEMBLE INBOARD JOINT BOOT TO IN BOARD JOINT

Pack in grease to the inboard tulip and boot.

HINT: Use the grease supplied in the boot kit.

Grease capacity:

TOYOTA Type: 90-100 g (3.2-3.5 oz.)
GKN Type: 140-150 g (4.9-5.3 oz.) 

9. (TOYOTA TYPE)

ASSEMBLE BOOT CLAMPS TO BOTH BOOTS

Be sure the boots are on the shaft groove.

-

Insure that the boots are not stretched or contracted when the drive shaft is at standard length.

Drive shaft standard length:

LH 456.0 mm (17.953 in.)
RH 455.9 mm (17.949 in.)

Bend the band and lock it as shown.

ASSEMBLE BOOT CLAMPS TO BOTH BOOTS

Be sure the boots are on the shaft groove.

Insure that the boot is no stretched or contracted when the drive shaft is at standard length.

Drive shaft standard length: 

452.35 ± 2.0 mm (17.8090 ± 0.079 in.)
