Roof, Replace (Models F08, F48)
Note: Curtain airbag
– see operation "Curtain Airbag Unit, Remove and Install
(Model F 48, F08)" in group "C".

 Remove
Attaching parts, drill off and separate roof, using electric
cutting tool or pneumatic cutting tool (MKM-846-1E, MKM-846-1P) and
Knife MKM-846-10 cut out roof in area of cemented bond in roof
strut, separate roof, note size of new part!

Install
Prepare and fit roof. Apply PU glass cement (1-component or
2-component for installing glass panes) to roof strut (cement bead
Ø 10 mm). Apply spot weld paint to roof flange. Weld in
roof. Seal body seams.

When replacing the roof PU glass
cement (1-component or 2-component adhesives) is applied to the
flange of the roof strut as well as the front and rear of the roof
frame.

Note: Aftersales
supplies the roof support as a single part. The roof supports are
fastened at the side with 2 spot welds.
