Brake Hose - Front, Left or Right, Remove and Install > < Brake Fluid Level Sensor, Remove and Install

Brake Hose, Rear, Left or Right, Remove and Install

Top up brake fluid reservoir to "MAX" mark and seal with MKM-558-10.

  Remove

Detach rear wheel. Detach brake line connection (1) from brake hose (3) – collect escaping brake fluid and seal apertures.

Unscrew banjo bolt (2) from brake calliper. Remove brake hose (3) from bracket.

  Install

Insert brake hose in bracket. Attach brake hose with banjo bolt and new seal rings to brake calliper – tightening torque 40 Nm / 30 lbf. ft. – thereby ensuring brake hose is not twisted once installed.

Object Number: 2418765  Size: DEFAULT

Insert brake line with tensioning plate and attach to brake hose – tightening torque 16 Nm / 12 lbf. ft.

Attach rear wheel – 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft.

Bleed brake system and check for leaks – see operation "Brake System, Bleed and Check for Leaks".

Correct brake fluid level up to mark "MAX".
