Injection Valve > < Replace fuel pressure sensor (high pressure)

Fuel Pressure Sensor (High Pressure), Replace (Z 22 YH, RHD)

  • KM-J-34730-91

Note:   When working on the fuel system, cleanliness must be strictly observed as even small particles of dirt can lead to faults in the engine or fuel system. The injectors may only be removed with the engine cold and with unequivocal diagnosis.

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach earth connection
– Slacken nut
3.   Remove engine cover
Warning:   Comply with safety regulations and national legislation.
4.   Release fuel pressure
•   Use KM-J-34730-91
Object Number: 2406416 Size: DEFAULT


5.   Remove fuel pressure regulator (high pressure) (2)
•   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug (3)
•   Unscrew 2x bolts (1)
Object Number: 2406435 Size: DEFAULT


  Install

6.   Install fuel pressure regulator (high pressure)
•   Replace 2x seal rings
•   Tighten 2x bolt 8 Nm
•   Connect and lock wiring harness plug
7.   Connect battery
•   Attach earth connection
– Tighten nut
Important:   Wear protective goggles and protective gloves.
8.   Fuel System, Check for Leaks
•   Start engine.
Note:   Check fuel system for escaping fuel.
9.   Attach engine cover
10.   Close bonnet
11.   Program volatile memories
