Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the front and rear side door sill trim plate. Refer to . Front and Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement
2. Move seat to full forward position.
3. Remove the front seat belt from the front seat belt tensioner. Refer to . Driver or Passenger Seat Retractor Side Belt Replacement

Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding

Procedure

1. Remove the center pillar lower/upper garnish molding assembly.
2. Release the locking retainer on the rear side of the center pillar upper garnish molding.
3. Before installing the centre pillar upper garnish moulding, move the seat belt guide adjuster to the lowest position.
4. Install the centre pillar lower/upper garnish moulding assembly also with lowest adjusting position to the centre pillar and seat belt guide adjuster.
5. Check the seat belt guide adjustment in both directions.
•  Lower direction: Seat belt guide adjuster must lock into place and can only be unlocked with the releasing device.
•  Upper direction: Continuously adjustable without releasing device.
