Preliminary Procedure

Remove the wheel drive shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side .

Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Bearing Bolt (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
22 N·m (16 lb ft)

Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft

Procedure

1. Remove and discard the O-ring. DO NOT re-use, replace with NEW only.
2. The DT-6332 protector must be installed into the differential output shaft seal prior to installation of the intermediate shaft.
3. For vehicles with 6T40/45 automatic transmission, check transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection
4. For vehicles with AF-40 automatic transmission, check transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
5. For vehicle with F40 manual transmission, check transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection
6. For vehicles with M32 manual transmission, check transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level Inspection
