DTC DescriptorsDTC B0468 00: Auxiliary Heater Coolant Pump CircuitDTC B0470 00: Auxiliary Heater Coolant Pump Relay Circuit Low Voltage DTC B0471 00: Auxiliary Heater Coolant Pump Relay Circuit High Voltage DTC B0472 00: Auxiliary Heater Coolant Pump Relay Circuit Open Diagnostic Fault Information
Circuit/System DescriptionWhen the engine turns off while the Stop/Start Mode, the auxiliary coolant pump will be activated. Therefore, the engine control module (ECM) grounds the auxiliary coolant pump relay control circuit, which will switch the auxiliary coolant pump relay. With the relay contacts closed, battery voltage is supplied to the auxiliary coolant pump. The auxiliary coolant pump clutch will be activated. Conditions for Running the DTCEngine is running. Conditions for Setting the DTCB0468The ECM detects an over temperature error. B0470The ECM detects a short to ground at the auxiliary coolant pump relay control circuit. B0471The ECM detects a short to voltage at the auxiliary coolant pump relay control circuit. B0472The ECM detects an open at the auxiliary coolant pump relay control circuit. Action Taken When the DTC SetsB0470The auxiliary coolant pump always active. B0468, B0471 or B0472The auxiliary coolant pump is inoperative. Conditions for Clearing the DTCThe condition for setting the DTC is no longer present.
