Heater Mats for Front Seat, Replace
Disconnect plug connection from wiring harness under seat.
Remove front seat.
See corresponding operation in group "C".
Heater Mat for Front Seat Cushion, Remove
Pull out upholstery from seat frame.
Detach upholstery in seating area from ring clamps.
Pull out cable plug from side upholstery of front seat backrest and separate.
Push back seat cushion upholstery until heater mat is free.
Pull off heater mat from seat.
Pull out connecting cable from seat opening.
Heater Mat for Front Seat Cushion, Install
Position heater mat on seat cushion and mark installation position.
Apply plastic adhesive, Catalogue No. 15 04 851 - 9 293 725, to underside of heater mat in hatched area and to seat upholstery.
After allowing adequate time to dry, press heater mat onto seat cushion with cemented side facing downwards.
Push cable through seat opening. The thermostat "A" must be above the opening in the seat.
Lay cable under the seat.
Pull upholstery over seat and fasten.
Connect cable plug and push under seat backrest cover at side of seat.
Ensure that cable is laid carefully (see illus. C 1819)
