Correct procedure regarding the removal of ABS assemblies/control units

Note:
When the need arises to replace the ABS modulator or control unit on any models it is most important that the battery is disconnected prior to the removal of the units. An in-depth investigation has taken place with the manufacturers of the units, Kelsey Hayes/Bosch, who have identified that upon inspection of the returned units to our Warranty Material Returns Department, the majority of the failures are due to incorrect diagnosis of the original problem on the vehicle. Also, further damage is being caused to the ABS unit due to disconnection whilst the battery is still connected.
Failure to cmply with the correct procedure will result in a Retailer warranty debit.
